How long will my auto accident insurance case take?  In valuing your auto accident case many insurance companies have taken the human element out of the accident claims process over the last few years.  Insurance adjusters now rarely visit the accident scene or the injured person and they are often required to settle accident cases within the range that the software claims your accident case is worth.   In valuing auto accident cases insurance companies often use automobile publications that value the range of jury verdicts for your type of automotive accident.  

Insurance adjusters simply are not allowed to give the personal attention that was once common in auto accident cases. They don't individually drive to your home to find out how the accident happened and what the damages are.  They don't cut you the insurance check right on the spot as they used to.  The insurance adjuster that you are speaking to normally isn't even inside Kentucky. Instead insurance adjusters have hundreds of cases on their desk and they rely on you or your attorney to give them the auto accident facts on your insurance claim.  If you don't prove that the insurance company is liable and prove all the auto accident amounts it delays or cuts out your payment.  

Insurance claims can be made through the court system but only a minority of auto accident cases are taken to trial.  Almost all auto accident cases are settled for some reasonable amount prior to the court date.  Litigation costs insurance companies money and there is rarely reason to go to court if you can prove your damages with estimates.  However emotions in auto accident cases can become involved and clients attorneys and insurance companies may decide to take it to Court.  It may take years to reach a settlement if negotiations break down.  Normally, as soon as you have reached maximum medical recovery a final settlement amount can be negotiated.  In property cases, a settlement should not normally take more than a few months.  In personal injury cases, estimating and arriving at the final total for your injuries will take some time at least until you are in sight of a complete recovery.   Never accept too little because you settled too early.  There is no set time for any auto accident case.  Every auto accident case takes as long as it needs to and should settle as early as it can be settled without giving up your full settlement.
